Parkway South H.S. Collects Socks for Homeless

A major "SHOUT OUT" and huge THANK YOU to students at Parkway South High School for collecting socks to be distributed during our Mobile Homeless Outreach Mission on Saturday, 2/20/2016. Socks, such a simple, basic need! But for many of our homeless friends socks are a luxury.

Thank you again for your commitment to making a difference in the community. We look forward to working alongside you all in March.

Mobile Homeless Outreach Mission

A huge “THANK YOU” to everyone who shopped, donated and volunteered to make sack lunches and assemble hygiene kits, and then hand them out to our homeless neighbors on January 23rd.

Together we assembled and distributed 75 sack lunches (each included fruit, chips & bottled water), 50 hygiene kits, numerous coats, blankets and shoes!

We do this outreach monthly so, SAVE THE DATE: The next one is, Saturday, February 20th from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

We are accepting donations of the following items to make hygiene kits to distribute on the 20th:
Deodorant, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Dental Floss, Soap, Washcloth, Travel sized Kleenex, Feminine Hygiene Products, Disposable Razors, Shaving Cream, Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand Sanitizer, Lip Balm, Hand/Foot Warmers, Combs/Brushes, Ziploc Bags.

Please consider holding a Personal Hygiene Kit Drive at your office, church, school or social organization. We would be so appreciative. The need for these items is huge for our homeless and needy friends.

Diaper Drive

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated to our diaper drive and to Great Southern Bank in Ferguson, MO for acting as a drop-off location. Because of YOU, we were able to deliver 3,132 diapers and 1000 wipes to Almost Home. They were so appreciative as the need for disposable diapers is ongoing and critical. Thank you for helping keep the babies dry, healthy and happy. None of this is possible without your generosity and continued support. God bless you all.

Thanksgiving Dinner

On Thanksgiving, we want to ensure the spirit and tradition of the holiday is shared with the homeless and less fortunate in our community. We will be serving Thanksgiving dinner to our friends in partnership with Rescued Church.
We know many of you wanted to volunteer that day, and we have enough onsite volunteers. We can use your help with the items on the list below. We want to have these things on hand to give to each person. Thank you for your continued support. We will be happy to pick up your donated items. God Bless!

Socks 4 Souls Sock Drive

Socks, such a simple, basic need! But for many homeless men and women socks are a luxury.

We are asking you to donate to our Socks 4 Souls Drive.

Our goal is to collect 300 pairs of NEW socks to warm the soles of the area’s homeless. The socks will be given out during our October 10th mobile outreach mission and subsequent missions throughout the winter on the streets of St.Louis.

All you need to do to help is donate at least one pair of brand-new men’s or women’s socks by October 8th. Think about engaging your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, schools or churches in a sock drive – a fun and inspiring way to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.

We will be happy to pick up your donation. Email us at, info@soletosoulfoundation.org to arrange a pick up or drop off. Children’s socks are accepted, but adults are the MOST needed during our mobile outreach mission.

Type of socks: men’s socks, ladies socks, black socks, white socks, ankle socks, crew socks, work socks, cotton socks, casual socks, winter socks, sport socks, outdoor socks….

Something as simple as socks can impact the life of a person in need.

Thank you to all our volunteers who came out to serve our homeless friends in downtown St. Louis on 8/22/2015. Dedicated hearts like yours are not easily found. For our homeless friends, we pray that the Lord will provide you with shelter, security, peace and hope. God, thank you for the opportunity to be charitable to others.
